Futurist Technophobia

Written by anders@thinque.com.au | August 21, 2013

Sometimes we have to laugh at technology...

As a futurist, I admit to having a love-hate relationship with technology. On the one hand I love technology's ability to connect people, to contribute to better health outcomes, and to solve real world problems, and on other hand I see it shifting the game and disrupting the living standards of people who are not keeping up with technology.

There seems to be an increasing Digital Divide between digital natives and digital immigrants.

The question is how your business is coping with the increasingly separate languages of the digital and the analogue worlds? How are you connecting with the customer of tomorrow?

Occasionally, a bit of satire can help us in making sense of the increasingly crowded technological jungle...

This one is from The One Ronnie and is a personal favourite of mine. Given we are just about the launch Digilogue: how to win the digital minds and the analogue hearts of tomorrow's customer I think this sketch beautifully summarises the miscommunications between the digital and the analogue worlds.
