What is in store for analogue conferences, and the meetings / events industry more broadly? This is a question many of our clients and partners are asking themselves every day. I have been forecasting for years that the future of events is a hybrid - or Digilogue - model of idea dissemination. That future arrived a little sooner than many thought, because of a now not so novel virus.
Many of our clients have been pivoting the way they digitally disseminate ideas - together with Adobe we have launched a digital diagnostic on the Creative Leadership Quotient (CQ), with Microsoft we have launched a whitepaper on Retail Resilience and how AI can be deployed by retailers to accelerate out of the COVID curve, and we recently co-authored the Future Focus Trend Report with ING on the future of work beyond the virus. All of these are great examples of marketing and thought leadership pivots and how innovative brands are embracing 'creativity within constraints'. And yes, there is even creativity within quarantine.
Other clients are pivoting toward virtual and hybrid events. One of our events partners recently launched Global Speaker Showcase which illustrates that virtual conferences are not only viable, but effective means of communication. It was a three day virtual event where I keynoted and MCd the event - scaled and broadcast across all continents - live.
You can check out my keynote - 2nd Renaissance - which encapsulates some of the above mentioned work from Adobe, Microsoft, and ING Bank in the video below. If you want to explore a virtual keynote / strategy session with me please contact us now, or book me by request via your preferred speakers bureau.
